Couple injured in lone vehicular accident on Waterfront Drive

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A couple had to be rushed to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital after being injured in a lone vehicular accident last night, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Road Town, Tortola.

Video footage sent to our newsroom shows a white car on its side a short distance away from the Italian restaurant, Capriccio di Mare and KennyTees clothing store on Waterfront Drive.

An ambulance was also spotted in the 1.16-second video.

Inquiries ongoing 

In the meantime, the Police Information Office has confirmed the accident.

In response to our queries on the matter, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) was informed that the accident occurred sometime after 11:00 pm last night.

“A male and female were reported injured and were transported to Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital for treatment. Inquiries are ongoing,” police said.
