GEORGES NORTHSIDE, Tortola, VI- A concrete truck reportedly belonging to Skelton Concrete Products Limited went off a road and down the mountainside at Georges Northside today, January 24, 2023.

According to reports, the accident took place sometime after 12:00 pm.

Our news centre was also told the driver managed to escape with just minor cuts and bruises.

It is unclear to our news centre at this time how the truck ended up running off the road.

The concrete truck also nearly fell onto another road but was held up by thick vegetation.

      The driver is very lucky. Now how are they going to retrieve the truck without it falling all the way down? They better block off down below just in case.

    Glas to hear driver was unharmed, but an expensive accident for somebody. Will there be an investigation to determine if this was operator error, poor brakes, or both.

    I am always blown away at the skills of the BVI drivers of those "large trucks/cement trucks " in those mountain roads. Their driving skills are outstanding, even though some of them drive like they are "crazy"

      A good couple of dem need to get they head checked. They drive too wild. Some from by ashly some from by fish bay, the spanish boy from down west with the pump and a set of dem driving dump trucks
