SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- [Post Time: 5:40pm] ] Bragging rights and a handsome purse have gone to the US Virgin Islands (USVI) as Come on Venezuela has won the feature clash of the August Tuesday Races at Ellis Thomas Downs in Sea Cows Bay.

Moments ago, Come on Venezuela, with jockey Angel Moreno, ran to victory, beating Courage and Honour (2nd) and One Way to Fame in a time of 149.2.

Come on Venezuela and handlers won the purse of $9000 in the one-mile encounter dubbed the Rodney 'Mileage' Simmonds Memorial Race sponsored by Boys Service Station.

The 5-race event saw a large number of persons turning up to support.
