ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With relatively dry and stable conditions persisting across the Leeward Islands and the Virgin Islands, the territory today January 1, 2022, can expect a low chance for cloudiness and showers over the next twenty-four hours.

The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM) said as such, the weather for today is partly cloudy with a 30 percent or a low chance of showers with the same conditions forecasted for tonight.

Winds: east-northeast at 19 to 30 km/h or 12 to 18 mph with possible gusts up to 48 km/h or 30 mph.

Seas: 1.5 to 2.1 meters or 5 to 7 feet with northerly swells of 1.5 meters or 5 feet.

Sunset is forecasted to happen at 5:54 pm this afternoon.
