Cindy alleges 'rumours' of ‘inappropriate relationships' by Premier Wheatley

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Controversial figure in the Virgin Islands Rosemary Cindy Rosan used a live press conference today, January 6, 2023, to present rumours of Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) being engaged in ‘appropriate relationships’ with media persons now hired by Government.

The Premier was at the time holding a ‘One on One’ Press conference, alongside Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports, Hon Sharie B. de Castro (AL), when Rosan used the opportunity to ask the Premier about the allegations.

She also claimed not to have any knowledge of vacancies for media jobs three expatriates recently filled and Labour Laws may have been broken.

It should be noted that the jobs were in fact advertised by Government in October 2022.

Premier Wheatley also said he is not aware any laws were broken during the hiring process and challenged Rosan to bring proof.

Rumours are ‘reckless’- Premier Wheatley

The question that came as a shock; however, was when Rosan claimed that the Premier has been accused by members of the public of having “inappropriate relationship with two of the persons listed, and you continue with the trend of abuse of power with the office you hold. Can you please put those allegations to rest?”

Chief Information Officer Desiree Smith told the Premier he didn’t need to answer the question; however, Premier Wheatley insisted on responding.

“I think it is completely an inappropriate question. I think persons need to stop putting forward reckless rumours as though they have some kind of fact to them. I think it is reckless and I think it [question] is completely inappropriate,” Dr Wheatley stated.

It was on March 8, 2022, that Rosan announced her political candidacy for the 2023 General Elections of the Virgin Islands (VI), stating she would run as an At Large candidate.

If there is cronyism afoot and/or labour law violations, these matters should have been brought forth to the Governor’s Office for investigation. I am not dismissing these claims, because no one is above the law, but there is procedures in place to handle such issues. These are some serious matters that should not be taken lightly.

That is exactly whey the Complaints Commissioner exists. If she investigated and found that labour laws were broken by a minister, then that Governor has to deal with that Minister and since the public service falls under the Governor, any contract given as a result of that breach of law can be voided. Cindy need st*ning with sh**!!!

The other site is controlled by the UK whites with the guavana and the few locals with them. There will never be anything positive in the story or post about the BVI or any government in office. The other site is an integral part of the plot to destabilize by trying to brainwash the people against their own people and leadership in all areas. This is one phase of the attempt to justify their attempt at the take over. All other sites allow for balance but not them and don't look for it.

The Premier can hire because he calls shots for who ge wants to and people are afraid of being victimized, so they do as instructed. The BVI leaders need to stop taking their street behavior to office. We are going from bad to worse. The serious chief ministers of this Territory never got involved in hiring of expats without specialized skills just for favours. The new ministers allow any and everyone in their faces then go on radio speaking what they think the citizens want to hear which is often on contrary to their actions. The premier need to keep out of HR matters and let the people do their jobs.

Why would he not assist BVI citizen, 7 district resident, Damien Percival to secure employment??

      Sense of Entitlement
A common sign of people with narcissism is the belief that they are superior to others and deserve special treatment. They believe that others should be obedient to their wishes and that the rules don’t apply to them.

      Manipulative Behavior
Another common trait of narcissism is manipulative or controlling behavior. A narcissist will at first try to please you and impress you, but eventually, their own needs will always come first. When relating to other people, narcissists will try to keep people at a certain distance in order to maintain control. They may even exploit others to gain something for themselves.

      Need for Admiration
One of the most common signs of a narcissist is a constant need for praise or admiration. People with this behavior need to feel validation from others and often brag or exaggerate their accomplishments for recognition. They also like to feel appreciated to boost their ego.

      Lack of Empathy
Lack of empathy is another sign of narcissism. This means that the narcissist is unwilling or unable to empathize with the needs, wants, or feelings of other people. This also makes it difficult for them to take responsibility for their own behavior.

People with narcissistic behavior already see themselves as superior to others, so they may become rude or abusive when they don’t receive the treatment they think they deserve. While they hold themselves superior, they may speak or act rudely toward those that they deem are inferior.

I agree with you but for different reasons. GIS is a failure. The only time I and most of the public know that the Premier had a press conference is now and it is in a negative light and been brought out by other media houses. GIS is not reaching the people instead they want the people to reach them. This should not be. Why is a sitting government messages falling behind the media houses and talk show host. Somebody has to address this internally immediately because it is now clear that this is deliberate sabotage. Remember today it is this government but tomorrow it will be the same no matter what government is in office. Do better now.

Let us allow Cindy to redeem herself and do the future generations justice by asking the Governor and have it made public what did he write in his document to the UK to get the Parliament in UK and the Privy Council to issue the Order in Council. Also ask him the same thing about the financial services with public registry where he has another pending order in council. Those two pieces of information and everything related to them needs to be made public. I am sure that in both it will reveal that the facts were massaged to fit their devious purpose. The people of the BVI need to know what was in those documents sent by the Governor so that they can have a fair and transparent opportunity to defend themselves. In a time of when the Governor and UK is calling for transparency, they have acted under a cloud of secrecy and deceit. This information must be known & known now. They should have no reason to keep this information private while they are using it to act publicly. Cindy do this for us please.

It’s no secret, there is a lot of infertility going on here by both women and men. From conversations with the men, they are bored and turned off by their wives or girlfriends going to bed in like you said, the granny panties, old woman night gowns and got their hair tie up like a old woman. Now the women said they are not getting fulfilled in the way that they want or when the man or husband have a problem rising to the occasion. And if you notice, the older women tend to like the younger men for that reason.

why she keep targeting the premier. Both of them used to live East or still is what happen before between these two to cause this rift? I think something happen between the two of that's why she keeps targeting him. either an old disagreement, an old crush, and old disappointment something, something that cause one party to be hateful towards the next.

Non better than the other. They both attack when it suits ythem. Premier needs to exhibit just as much class as the value of his PHd and let people manage their units. That will help restore the confidence of the people.

We see how well that has worked. GIS is a well oiled machine (I’m being facetious). Look at those dry Christmas & New Year’s greetings. No Year in Review? With all the accomplishments made?

She is targeting the Premier allegedly because the school children dem say she upset he didn’t force BVITB to pay her $1M as settlement.

This ain the same woman that AF (ex-Premier) help out when she couldn’t pay her rent for the yellow house? Allegedly?

Not only did she disrespect the Premier and herself with the way she thought she was exposing some wrongdoing on his behalf, she had no consideration for the Premier's wife?

No real media person with sense would spew innuendo for salacious soundbites.

Why she think that that was the way to pose the question has dumbfounded me. Did she think that she would put him on the spot? Did she think she would get confirmation.

All she has been hell bent on doing since she believe she had a hand in his election in the 7th, is attacking him.

If you can't discern what is an appropriate/inappropriate question/behaviour how can you put yourself forward to lead?

Maybe age should run against him in the 7th rather than at-large.
