GEORGETOWN, Guyana - Managing Director of Caribbean Insurers Ltd (CIL) Mr Brian W. Jermyn and Director Simone T. Monsanto have expanded their insurance services to Guyana, with the launch of Atlantic Edge Insurance Brokerage Inc.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and launch held on Friday, January 13, 2023, was attended by Guyana’s Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Mohabir Anil Nandlall, who was happy about the opportunities to be afforded under the new company, according to a report from Twelve 21 Media.

“It is no secret anymore that Guyana is one of the most sought-after investment destinations in the Western Hemisphere. We are growing at a rate that is several times over any other in the Caribbean. And while that is so because of oil and gas, that growth is taking place significantly in the non-oil and gas sector,” Nandalal reported.

People in Guyana want medical care - AG Nandlall

He added that medical care is what people want in every part of the world and that the Guyanese market is ripe with opportunities for such services.

“So I hope with this addition to our current constellation of operators, we will have an intrusion and an infusion of every type of insurance coverage,” he added.

Atlantic Edge Insurance Brokerage Inc will operate under the leadership of three Directors; Brian W. Jermyn, Simone T. Monsanto, and Sharon Ramrattan.

The Minister on behalf of the Dr M. Arfaan Ali-led government congratulated the team for the decision to open a new business in Guyana and added that the company has the full support of the Government of Guyana.

Some people in the BVI are so small minded. Guyana has a population of 800,000! 27 times that of the BVI.
