LONG LOOK, Tortola, VI- A child was reportedly hospitalized following an accident in Long Look whereby a vehicle ran off a road sometime around 5 P.M. on April 8, 2013.

Unconfirmed reports state that a child was left in the vehicle while the adult exited when the vehicle was observed rolling down the hill out of control.

It is not clear if the key was left in the ignition, if the handbrake was down or if the vehicle was not properly parked.

The condition of the child is unknown and the adult driver is said to be assisting police with investigations.

According to Police Information Officer Diane Drayton, “persons were taken to hospital,” and added that she didn’t know how many were taken to hospital and the extent of the injuries.
