Cement truck knocks down electrical pole in Little Bay

LITTLE BAY, Tortola, VI- Residents of Little Bay and surrounding areas were left without power when a cement truck felled an electrical pole around noon today, February 22, 2023.

It is unclear the circumstances surrounding the mishap; however, no one was reportedly injured.

Traffic was; however, affected.

Linemen of the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) were on the scene.

More details to follow.

There have been a series of accidents involving cement trucks in the past months.

    Why so many concrete truck accidents ? DMV need to make sure these drivers qualified to drive these vehicles and companies should do regular drug and alcohol test.

    So why are the flow, Digicel and cct lines so low? Since those lines been going up they have been getting lower and lower. That is a main road, those lines should not be that low for this to happen.

      @ Citizen, he knocked down the POLE and the lines came tumbling down after that. He did not snag a line.
