WICKHAM'S CAY 1, Tortola, VI- The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) in collaboration with the Tortola Pier Park Ltd, British Virgin Islands Tourist Board (BVITB) and local ship agent ROMASCO Group, commemorated the inaugural arrival of Celebrity Ascent with a plaque exchange ceremony today, December 20, 2023.

This event took place onboard the ship while it was berthed at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park, Tortola with Staff Captain Maria Gotor and Minister of Communication and Works Honourable Kye M. Rymer (R5).

    I said it the other day. These inaugural calls are nothing new. Every single year they make new ships and every single year we get all 10 inaugural calls to our port. Nothing new or special

    I apologise in advance to the tourists who will witness the state of the poor infrastructure of the islands. Most who have a conscience are ashamed.
