KINGSTOWN, Tortola, VI – Students from Cedar International School left the Virgin Islands (VI) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, for New York City to participate in a Model United Nations (MUN) Conference.

The National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference in New York is a premier collegiate event featuring two main sessions, taking place from March 29 to April 2 and April 6 to April 10.

These sessions provide simulations at UN Headquarters, attracting thousands of international participants to New York City.

Students will debate global issues

According to a Facebook post from Cedar International School, the students will join peers from around the world to debate global issues and collaborate on solutions.

The post further highlighted that experiences like MUN foster the global, critical, and strategic thinking that are central to an International Baccalaureate (IB) education.
