Catamaran runs aground @ Trellis Bay

TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI – A day of sailing for some persons did not go well as planned as the Catamaran they were in ran aground at Trellis Bay, Beef Island, around noon, today, December 30, 2021.

Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that the vessel belonging to The Moorings reportedly hit some rocks just off Loose Mongoose sometime after 12:15 pm.

Sources told VINO that up to publication time, persons were rendering assistance at the scene of the mishap.

There have been no reports of serious injuries.

    Very careless on who ever was captaining the boat, these boats are well equipped with GPS and depth finders, what are they doing so close the the rocks and reef at high day
