ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Forget the pharmacists and expensive drugs for stress and anxiety relief as laughter the best medicine will be given in doses this evening December 4, 2011 at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall when Caribbean comedy makes a return to Tortola after a two-year absence.

According to promoter of the event Kenny Thompson of KT Productions, the show has returned due to popular demand. “People have been asking for it all the time and I think the time is right. The place is a little tense so we just want to ease some of the tension with good laughter.”

The name of the show is Eat your Crix and Kix and includes various seasoned comedians from the region including Gloria Williams of St. Vincent, Fatman George of Grenada, Nuts Landing of Trinidad and Tobago, Fernando Clark of St Martin and Susan Kennedy, who is based in the United States but originally from Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, Fatman George and Susan Kennedy were here in April of 2008 and they blew the roof with their humour and those who can recall that hilarious event would sure not want to miss out this evening.

Reminiscing on previous shows, Thompson said “the show was always good and always well received. The people would come and have a good time and get their money’s worth of laughter. They have always been asking for Caribbean comedy to come back but sometimes based on these people’s schedules it is hard to get a nice cast together. So we finally got an opportunity to put a well rounded one together. It’s clean family comedy. As one of the comedians said during a radio interview, you could bring your granny; you could bring your child. Caribbean comedy is known for clean jokes and a lot of social commentaries on everyday living.”

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $25.
