Caribbean Insurers Ltd welcomes new Director

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As it aims to further improve its service to the Virgin Islands, Caribbean Insurers Ltd recently welcomed Simone Monsanto to the Board of Directors.

Simone has been employed by Caribbean Insurers Ltd for the past 12 years, where she has been promoted several times, the last appointment being Business Development Manager. Her appointment to the Board of Directors was made on June 1, 2013.

Ms Monsanto joins the Board of Directors with a vast knowledge and experience in Property, Commercial, Automobile, Health and Life and Disability Insurance.  She holds qualification from The University of Central Florida as an All Lines Adjuster.

Speaking to Virgin Islands News Online this morning, June 6, 2013, Managing Director at Caribbean Insurers (BVI) Limited, Mr Brian Jermyn said CIL was very happy to appoint Ms Monsanto as a new Director of Caribbean Insurers. He added that she will be looking after the sales and marketing aspects of the company. “She has been with us for a number of years and has worked very hard, very diligently, and has an excellent attitude both with her staff and her customers and we know that her involvement on the Board of Directors now would help us to improve as a company.”

As for Ms Monsanto, she said she was very pleased about being appointed to the Board of Directors of CIL, “and I will continue to work as I do always. This will give me more of an opportunity to personally meet clients on a one-on-one basis…”

Caribbean Insurers Ltd. has been serving the VI community for more than 30 years by providing various insurance coverage including health, life, property, marine and auto.

The entity has certainly been making its presence felt in the VI community in the areas of sponsorships and donations to various organisations such as Kids and the Sea (KATS), Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR), Red Cross and schools. As recently as May 28, 2013 it teamed up with the BVI Diabetes Association to conduct a free health screening exercise where Some 67 persons were tested for their glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure levels.

    How they always say locals don't get anywhere? I know they wills ay Monsanto is not 'local' but she is local enough. Also look at Malone and Parsons, daughters of the soil serving on a board of such a company. hmm

    What is an "all lines adjuster" qualification? It appears to a be a 40 hours online course.
