ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A small car caught on fire in the vicinity of the Adina Donovan Home and Peebles Hospital on Main Street, Tortola, sometime after 12:00pm today, June 13, 2019.

It is unclear to our newsroom at this time what caused the blaze. No one was injured, according to reports.

The car became engulfed in flames and explosions could be heard before firefighters extinguished the inferno.

Persons on the scene could also be heard commending the firemen and also commenting on their bravery.

    In this heat, people were advised NOT to fill up your gas tank to full, but only 3/4 full. Windows should be cracked to allow heat to escape from inside of car. Cars sitting in the sun all day get overheated. Glad no one was hurt.

    The poor elderly folks in that building will be suffering the conscience of this incident (sad face)
