Car catches afire in heart of Road Town

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Quick action by the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue team has averted what could have been a major disaster after a vehicle caught fire last evening in Road Town, Tortola.

Sources have indicated that the fire happened last evening January 12, 2023, at around 8:30 pm with no one reported injured.

It remains unclear the cause of the fire which resulted in the vehicle going up in flames.

    The owner of the vehicle failed to properly maintained the vehicle.

    The owner should have driven it to the fire station one time. Uppon reaching there it would have taken the firemen 20 minutes to start outting the fire.

    Maybe if he had driven that vehicle to the Helipad and little beyond, we might, just might have had an investigation and some positive results.
