Candlelight Vigil for Stylee Band member Kyle K. Sylvester on Dec 14, 2017
The popular singer of the USVI based Stylee Band died in a tragic plane crash close to the St Croix airport on Thursday night December 7, 2017.
His Virgin Islands based family and friends have announced a Candlelight Vigil in remembrance of Kylo’s life. It will take place this Thursday December 14, 2017 at the Tortola Pier Park, in Road Town. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00 P.M. and end at 9:00 P.M., according to a family spokeswoman, Shaunice A. Leonard.
A young music star
The deceased was a Virgin Islands (VI) based and regional performer with the Stylee Band and was known for his relentless energetic performances, stage presence, and hit songs. He was no stranger to the stage during the VI Easter Festival and August Emancipation Celebrations on Tortola and Virgin Gorda. He has certainly left his mark here in the VI music history.
In his honour, local artists, family, fans, and friends will give tributes. In addition, during the Candlelight Vigil there will be musical selections, memorial poems, prayers, lighting of candles, releasing of 27 balloons, and a moment of silence at 8:54 P.M., according to Ms Leonard, who can also be reached at 1-284-441-2046 to request T-shirts if needed.
