You talk as though they are becoming citizens. They are not. Residency is only a status that means they no longer need work permits. It does not give them the right to vote, buy land etc. They will most likely have to wait years more for belongership , if they get it at all. It is also interesting to see that Belongership doesnt seem to be given....only residency , which is a joke status.

The world led by multi-billionaires, and political leaders are juggling for advantageous positions to enhance greater material as a show of strength, and financial security, but not for all their citizens, selected ones only. Even though a unselected ones, and groups will unintended do well.
Common Political practices in the B.V.I somewhat slitely differ, but the similarity of mindset take preimmanance over good administrative judgments most of the times.

Four hundred, and seventy (470) person have applied for residence, forty-seven (47) approved 10%.
Was this fairly done, seeing many have resides in the B.V.I for 20 plus year, others 25 plus, I believe, but because of who they are, or are not, and what are their material posession, or do not, they were been ignored. This does not means the all persons that are living in the B.V.I should be given residence, but to the contrary, if the devil, and his demons, figuratively speaking of course, wants permanent residence in the B.V.I all they have to do are to insure that the current cabinet stays in power, skin color, religious beliefs, appearances, countries of origin, etc., ect., wouldn't matter., no denial, no delay.
People who do recognize or have failed to recognized other humans as the Created equal via practical actions see the presence, and future though dark lenses. Moreover, people that place a higher value on lifeless things above the Almighty God of all Creations, and other humans have been badly devilceaved (deceived)

Do good for others as you would have them do good to you.

God is Love, Truthful, faithful, and fair minded, not was, not will be, but practically good presently, unlike us man to man, (human to human) hypocrites.

So I live here more than 20 years and my application not getting approval wow. So it seems people living here less years will get approval based on favoritism and who they know. Just wow. Anyways I'll continue paying my work permit fees at least it will help to do something for the territory. Jah bless.
