BVIPA to host inaugural PortVision Conference 2026 in April

PORT PURCELL, Tortola, VI- In a major milestone for the Virgin Islands’ maritime sector, the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) will be hosting the inaugural PortVision Conference 2026, a groundbreaking three-day event to be held at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) in Paraquita Bay from April 22–24, 2026.

This first of-its-kind initiative marks a significant highlight of the Authority’s 35th anniversary of service, celebrating more than three decades of keeping the VI moving.

PortVision Conference 2026 will convene leading voices from across the maritime ecosystem—spanning cruise, ferry, cargo, and tourism sectors—for an immersive exploration of innovation, technology, and the future of seaport operations.

This year’s theme, “Navigating the Future: Innovation and Sustainability in Seaport Operations,” reflects the Authority’s commitment to advancing modern, customer-centric, and environmentally responsible port management.

The experience

According to the BVIPA, over the course of the conference, attendees will experience: Thought-provoking presentations from regional and international industry professionals; Innovative technology showcases highlighting the next generation of maritime solutions; Collaborative forums and networking opportunities designed to strengthen partnerships; Insightful discussions on port development, sustainability, and elevating customer experience; and Exploration of emerging trends shaping the global maritime landscape

“As we celebrate our 35th anniversary, the launch of PortVision Conference signals a bold chapter in our evolution,” said the BVI Ports Authority. “This event will not only spotlight maritime excellence but also reinforce the BVI’s position as a leader in forward-thinking port operations and sustainable development.”

The BVIPA said PortVision Conference 2026 will become an annual flagship event, bringing together industry experts, policymakers, innovators, and stakeholders to share knowledge and inspire new ideas that propel the region’s maritime sector forward.

The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority invites maritime professionals, partners, and regional stakeholders to join this visionary gathering and be part of "shaping the ports of tomorrow".
