BVIPA: Temporary vehicle route change @ Port Purcell facility due to repairs

PORT PURCELL, Tortola, VI- The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to advise all port users that essential repair works will commence on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Port Purcell Facility on a section of the port infrastructure adjacent to Container Tracking Station II.

To facilitate this work safely, a temporary vehicle route will be in effect.

New Route for Accessing Key Areas:

  • Enter the port as usual
  • Proceed directly towards the Container Freight Station I (CFS I) Warehouse
  • Make a right turn
  • Then another right turn
  • Continue via the middle lane to access the Dock Area, Administration Building, General Warehouse, and Security Exit.

Please Note:

  • Obey all posted signs and speed limits
  • Follow the directions of Security and Operations personnel
  • Exercise caution in and around the construction area

We appreciate your cooperation as we carry out these important upgrades to improve the safety and efficiency of our port facilities.
