The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) has announced that the Outpatient Pharmacy at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital in Road Town will be closed all day on Friday, September 18, 2026, for its annual physical inventory count. Photo: Facebook

According to a statement by the BVIHSA, patients and clients are urged to complete any necessary pharmacy transactions, such as picking up prescriptions or making payments, before 4:00 PM today, Thursday, September 17, 2026, to avoid disruption to their medication access. The Authority is encouraging the public to plan in light of the temporary shutdown.
