“Your journey could start right here at home,” BVIAA said, encouraging young footballers to try out for the team.
Inaugural festival
The 2026 FIFA U15 World Cup Festival will see 194 nations participate on one global stage. It is a new initiative by FIFA in global youth football.
The first edition will be for boys, while the 2027 edition will feature girls' teams. From 2028 onward, FIFA intends to organise separate boys' and girls' U-15 competitions each year.
According to FIFA, to align with the development needs of U-15 players, the matches will be shorter in duration and will be played on smaller pitches, while teams will comprise between seven and nine players per side.
The tournament will take place from October 22 to 31, 2026.
