BVI Swim heats up stage @ Summer Sizzle BVI 2017
The night kicked off with Haus of Pink Lemonaid from Los Angeles that showed off their sexy colourful designs that set the stage for the rest of the night. Patrons were filled with excitement as each swimwear line took the catwalk.
More than 100 swimwear pieces blazed the stage and ‘The Islander’ by Andrea Wilson had the crowd in an uproar as the models strutted the runway in their Virgin Islands pride inspired swim wears. It was disclosed that her swim pieces are all made from 'natural' materials.
Male models boldly took to the catwalk in their swimwear that had the ladies in the audience in a frenzy. Andrew Nowell from New York was the designer of the men’s swim wear collection.
Singing his number one hit song ‘T.G.I.S’, B’More, VI’s very own, gave an unforgettable performance that had the patrons singing and dancing. He was also standing alongside the American R&B/Pop artist, model and actress, Jessica Jarrell, as they were the host for the night.
It was evident that the most anticipated collection was Aqua Couture by Roger Gary, when the patrons erupted with cheers as the models graced their presence in Mr Gary’s Southeast Asia inspired collection.
The BVI Swim and Resort runway show also saw a mixture of exotic and tropical pieces by Nikini Resort wear, Shernicia Mayers from St Vincent and the Grenadines, Duo Collection by Nadia Winter and Natalya Thomas and Cesar Galindo.
Going green
During the show, United BVI brought awareness to Ocean Conservation, recycling in the VI, and business as a force for good. The representatives also inspired community involvement with projects that support initiatives within the umbrellas of entrepreneurship, community and environment. In addition, Green Tech has partnered with Summer Sizzle BVI to provide green products for the event.
