BVI Rugby team ready for NACRA clash with Curacao!

Curacao are expected to arrive in the Territory this evening and will be greeted by Governor William B. McCleary at a reception for both teams at Old Government House.
On Friday night the teams will face off on the A O Shirley ground for the right to face Barbados in the 3rd round.
To reach the 2nd round the BVI had beaten St Lucia back at the end of January in a tense thriller 41-35 and Friday’s game promises no less a feast of entertaining Rugby.
The match is also a pre cursor to Saturday’s fixtures against Princeton University, St Thomas and Curacao starting at 1 P.M. also at the AO Shirley Ground.
“We have a few exciting days coming up, kicking off with a reception at the Old Government House tomorrow evening....Friday evening sees the BVI take on Curacao under lights at the AO Shirley from 6 P.M. And then on Saturday we have a festival of rugby with Princeton, St Thomas and Curacao starting at 1 P.M. also at the AO Shirley,” commented Ronan Kuscjak.
He also noted “This is a great opportunity for all of us to either play or come down and watch lots of rugby action. We are very excited about hosting our rugby guests and we look forward to seeing many fans at the ground.”
The squad for Friday’s match against Curacao- Clinton Hempel, Andrew Simmons, Adrian O’Neill, Edward Vasquez, Federico Zicari, Andrae Adams, Vivieon Harry, Patrick Dennis, Jimmy Peters, Dustyn Molver, Jerome Springette, Donovan Staple (Capt.), Thomas Chapman, Austin Kiel, Franklyn Victor, Lester Hamer, Damion Brown, Jeavan Thompson, Simon Knight, Rory Thornton, Melvin Knight and Frank McGing.
The Rugby Union is also reminding its members that the AGM will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
