BVI Restaurant Week kicks off today
Mr Dirk L. Walters, Events Manager at the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission, told a local media house leading up to the event that Restaurant Week is not a new event, but it has been returned and revamped.
“We wanted to spread it over the course of an entire week and have persons spread out and actually go and visit the restaurants in their location rather than having something in Tortola where all the restaurants come in one location.”
37 incredible restaurants participating
Mr Walters revealed that thirty-seven (37) restaurants have registered and are confirmed as taking part in the week of activities.
“All of them are very excited,” he said.
The public is being encouraged to take their families to the participating restaurants around Tortola and enjoy BVI Restaurant Week under the theme ‘Your Belly Knows Best’.
“They will have specials…some of them will be doing prefix menus and also theme nights. So we have things like family nights and things like that.”
Prizes & surprises
Restaurant Week will also be packed with prizes for participating individuals.
Patrons can get a “foodie passport”, and Mr Walters explained, “If you collect five stamps, you're eligible to win in some giveaways. We have free meals, free dinners and things like that.”
He also said many surprises will be given away during the week which ends on July 8, 2025.
