I agree...utter nonsense. I still have to go by the Post Office to collect mails. What's the Hon. Minister doing about this?

It doesn't make sense to keep a mailbox unless you are a business anymore, a lot of businesses now give electronic statements, who writes letters anymore when email is so common, the post office would be dead soon if not for parcels and packages

Increase and more increase fees. How about some cutting of expenditures, Rent, Salaries, Vehicle usage and Gas, overtime pay...Real financial responsibility and control is about a balance in cut and increases...

As long as you know all post offices throughout the territory will be up and running. Then and only then increases should take place. Inconveniencing the post box holders for such a long time is not nice. Sad thing is our Government can find money for so many different things but the things that is most important they cant find it for. Look at our infrastructure what a shame.

Thelma, Louise and Sticky fingers were helping themselves to the money. When one steals from any business, the consumer is the one that pays the price.

Not saying the price shouldn’t be increased but when will those who have/now HAD boxes at the Road Town Post Office and are still having to go stand in line to collect our mail from behind the counter? It’s been over 5 years since the hurricanes of 2017!! Let’s get our act together!!

One recommendation to the public. Ensure your email state as a foot note. “All correspondence should be sent via email. Then there is no fee for post box. Checks can now be scan for deposits and if your bank is not doing so, move your accounts or open one to a bank that does on line deposits.

Many people need to find ways, methods etc. to save money. As the minimum way will not go anywhere soon.the system is design to keep you paying for things you can avoid.

Most BVI Landers are US citizens and have post box in St John and St Thomas. Have any of them been screamng about the post box rate for 2023??

Well I hear of them say box used to be $35 and $55 up till Dec 2022, but guess what as of Jan 2023, the same box is now costing upwards of $166 to $180 a year. Talk less about postage. Small box for postage used to $3.95 flat rate, how much is it now? Upwards of $16.00.

Guess what, BVI is a copy cat so no wonder postage rate going up in BVI too. What a thing to tell the King. Any one are you see those boxes at East End and Long Look close to the fire station next to community center?? What a shame!!!

You all need to stfu. Everytime Government increases its fee you all are complaining. But don't complain when FedEx, DHL, Aeropost, JML,Ups and others are charging you all 100% of thr cost of the item to shit it here. Either you pay the rental fees for the mail box, or continue to go to the post office to collect your mails.
