So how this work? We think tourists are going to come for a year to experience our event? $10M+ into the Tourist Board and this is the kind of crap they come up with?

Who is ensuring that the Lobster Fest youth drawings are actually done by the youths whose names are on the drawing?

Are they being done in the classroom?

Some drawings don’t look like a child’s hand touched it.

BVITB, this event has been going on since 2014. Why does this “year long event” sound like you’re just beginning or back at the drawing board? By now the BVI could have been the top destination in the Caribbean for tourist to experience culinary tourism while enhancing cultural experiences. Now you have more information about “new” everything at a “launch” for locally targeted Lobster Festival that should be promoted “year long” to “inspire travel to the destination”.

Seems to be a problem at many of these cultural food events. Perhaps some physical exercise for any person BEFORE tasting/eating the food should be required. Suggest a quarter mile run in less than 2 minutes then 10-15 pushups, situps, pullups, squats, etc. before allowing entry to the eating area. Also no removing the tasty food from the dining area except in your stomach.

Include in the competitions or presentations for the year's long event of the BVI Food Fete to include extra ordinary preparation of BVI local dishes using locally caught seine and pot fish, whelks, turtle, gar, jacks, lobster, crab, conch, pork, goat, beef, sheep (veal), fungi, peas soup, rice dishes, locally grown provisions, herbs, and don't forget the fruits - mango, tamarind, coconut, guava, passion fruit, mauby, limeade, locust, mamie, banana, plantain, pomegrante, cherry nut, sea grape liquer, and others too many to mention.
