ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- BVI Finance recently hosted visiting students from the French Caribbean who are currently on an academic trip across the region.

On March 23, 2026, BVI Finance met with representatives and students from EGC Business School Martinique and EGC Guadeloupe.

Most EGC Business Schools, which were created by and for businesses, are managed by local Chambers of Commerce and Industry and are recognised by the French government.

Students learned about the financial industry

The students were introduced to the Virgin Islands’ financial services industry through a detailed overview, which also highlighted several ongoing initiatives within the organisation.

“We extend our sincere thanks to the faculty and students of EGC Business School Martinique and EGC Guadeloupe for their engagement, insightful presentation, and the generous selection of thoughtful local gifts they shared,” BVI Finance said in a statement on March 24, 2026.

EGC Schools carefully select candidates whose profiles and career goals align with the needs of the business community. Students receive individualised coaching throughout their studies to help them reach their full potential and develop into creative, responsible managers who are proficient in English and at least one additional foreign language.

Due to strong ties with local Chambers of Commerce, EGC students benefit from numerous opportunities to connect with the business community.

All EGC schools operate under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and most participate in the European Union’s Erasmus Programme, which includes a minimum three-month internship with companies across Europe and around the world.
