Claiming a set off a so called rival is not good enough especially when the opportunity was there to actually win. Serious changes need to be made with how volleyball as a whole is approached. While it's good that the teams are being exposed to high level competition what is the end game? Nothing has changed always the same excuse, we could have won but.....

The questions are why aren't we going forward? Why aren't we improving? Is it the Administration? Coaches? Players? Farm system? All of the above?

These bvilanders does always wait until a moth before competition starts to start practicing.

Our team needs more practice.... The association needs to consider. They dont play all year except in January with little time to get ready for these games. and they Play against the best temas who practice all year round!!! thats their downfall as the team has potential.

The team has been in training for months! They did conditioning training and court work. The truth is that with the exception of St Vincent, BVI was far outranked in this competition. That is the reality of the tournament format as it ensures that the best teams from a zone will advance. The team worked hard and played to the best of their ability. The only exception was the first game against SVG here they failed to execute on top of some coaching errors.

Coaching errors cost them the 2nd game against them too and I am talking about in-game and in preparation. They lost a lot of points because at times they looked lost on the court and that points directly towards how they prepared for the tournament.

Playing against each other and on the court training is not adequate for competition in these tournaments. How do you know how strong your team is if they don't play and practice with outside teams? So be the case training for months at the complex is not adequate playing against their own team mates. I do agree too that there were coaching errors and team errors.

volleyball in the bvi is dead because the association has no vision..until that changes the loosing will go on..do u see the association going into schools like all other sporting associations are doing..no there are not.. are they making the sport more attractive to the young people..no there are not...what about going out to the other islands..like all other associations are doing..just hope this tournament opens there eyes.. I thought the last one did but I could see it didn't!
