Buy BVI Trade Expo 2025 celebrated the Virgin Islands Entrepreneurial Spirit

The Expo brought together more than 30 exhibitors across industries, including food and beverage, fashion, wellness, professional services, tourism, and youth entrepreneurship. The two-day event was a vibrant showcase of the innovation, creativity, and resilience that define the Virgin Islands business community.
In his opening remarks, Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley encouraged residents to “Choose BVI, Buy BVI, Promote BVI, Support BVI, and Empower BVI,” underscoring the importance of shopping local to strengthen families, livelihoods, and the wider economy.
Keynote Speaker Kenrick Headley Jr., Founder of Nova Vita, challenged entrepreneurs to embrace authenticity, creativity, and resilience. He reminded participants that the Virgin Islands is rich with untapped potential and that when entrepreneurs remain true to their identity while building globally competitive businesses, the entire territory benefits.
A highlight of the Expo was the Fashion Show on 20 September, where designers Islander Swim Collection, M-Organic, and Club de Joueurs unveiled their collections to enthusiastic applause. The show blended island identity with sustainability and modern flair, demonstrating that Virgin Islands brands can stand confidently on any international stage.
Shaina Smith-Archer, Chairman of the BVI Chamber of Commerce, shared: “The Expo is proof that entrepreneurship is alive and thriving in our Virgin Islands. This is the kind of platform that strengthens our economy and empowers our people. If you are a business owner or aspiring entrepreneur, I encourage you to join the Chamber, be part of this movement, and help shape the future of business in the Virgin Islands.”
A special moment of the Expo was the recognition of Mrs Nelda Farrington-Brydon as this year’s Chamber Hero. She was honoured for her long-standing contributions to business development and her legacy of service, which continues to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs.
