Bush cutting exercise on stream in 6th District

The cleanup campaign in the 6 District shifts into high gear next week
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Tourists who make the 6th District one of their routes will soon be enjoying a new experience when the clean-up exercise taking place there shifts to high gear next week with the trimming of tall trees, which usually block the scenic views along the road ways and hillsides.

According to the District Representative, Hon. Alvera Maduro-Caines, the areas earmarked for such exercise include Fort Hill, the hillsides in the vicinity of Cedar School and in Bellevue.

She also said most of the small bush cutting exercise and clean-up were done in the Purcell Estate area, while there is still some work to be done Baughers Bay and Bellevue.

Works, Hon. Caines said, are being executed via contracts and are part of the Island-wide clean-up campaign initiated by Government.

The painting of guard rails is also in the process of being completed in the 6th District.

Similar bush cutting exercises have been done in the 5th District and have also opened up more views for tourists.

bush goin got to stay cutting because we grow to big for cow n goat to roam the scenic hillsides. property damage could never be more than what we paying out annually to cut bush. put 2 cow in each district along the road side and let the public take them time when driving cause it got no repairs to your vehicle if u total it on a cow. That will SAVE a set of money and also slow down drivers since they have to be looking for the animals...less accidents. feel like we driving in a capsule on the east side especially JUST SAYING
