Whether you all want to admitt it or not it is a researched fact that the economy and crime go hand in hand. A rise in crime is one signal of a decreasing economy. The government is not to blame for crime but they must take a hard look at the economy. The BVI was through this before. Modify what was done before and move forward with urgency.

To everyone acting all brand new like this is new. Since the 1980's the crime rate always increases in Oct - Dec & May - August. And we ALL KNOW THIS. Not condoning it but some of you act like it's never happened here before.

JTV needs to be stopped. Someone break into the place 1am probably looking for petty cash. Yes it's a crime and it's wrong, but it's not f** breaking news worthy of an entire f** poster being sent around as if masked men went into the place during operations.

I agree with you. It’s not just them though. Many of the media outlets do it too. The simplest of things is breaking news. So silly. Breaking News, bank ATM not working….Breaking News, car runs into a pole. What Nincompoops.

I warned the BVI most of those 48 prearranged COI recommendations are not in the best interest of the people of the BVI and the economy. Where ever the Brits go claiming they need to take over for good governance results in life getting worse for that place. With time some of you will stop being ignorant and understand the real fight the BVI is in.

Our own government over the years, brought us to the COI. Don’t blame the UK, blame our governments constantly wasting taxpayer money to help themselves and their friends. We are broke but this government still finding monies to travel with unnecessarily large delegations. Not saying they shouldn’t be promoting the BVI but we don’t need an army to travel to do that. Can’t waste the money otherwise so now finding travel as a means to waste. It will never change.

I am not sure why so many dislikes but what you said is on point. They know this would be the results of their new policy structured by Mr Hickenbottom alone. The name alone should tell us what an A** he is. But we just jump and follow what Massa say do. Of course some things like everywhere needed structure but what I see they forced on these islands on the governmental side is mostly to choke off the economy.

The BVI needs to get back to serious and continuous Prayers because the colonial masters are not just fighting to take over in the natural. Our Pastors are either sleeping or naive.

Some of you who hate the government because you did not vote for them training others to be hateful and disrespectful and think your actions are not having an impact on these behaviors but guess again. Cindy and others instigating a negative environment and think they are not contributing to these events.

You cannot blame the police for crime but if a Caribbean or local was the Commissioner of Police and all this was happening under their watch then you would not have had room for all the negative post to have them removed and replaced with someone from the UK. What a set of hypocrites.

In no way do I condone crime but if the Private sector struggling and basically shut down and the government shut down where you have to tender to get even small work from government where the big boys winning small and big tenders then these things will arise. A freeing up of the economy is needed but this is not to say people should be robbing.

We are at a critical juncture as to what we need to be as a country.

We face, individually and collectively, a pivotal decision for who we want to be as a people. And the external and internal influences are overwhelming.
