VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Burglars are said to be on the rampage in Virgin Gorda, with one popular restaurant falling victim between Sunday, November 28, 2021, and Monday night, November 29, 2021, according to reports reaching our newsroom.

According to sources close to the situation, over $100, which was left in two cash registers, was taken from Dixies Restaurant and Bar on Lee Road.

The discovery was reportedly made by the restaurant's chef after making an early sale on Monday.

It was when the chef approached the register to make change he observed all the float was missing and upon checking another cash register the same was noted. It was then observed that a number of things were not in place as usual.

Further checks revealed one of the doors to the restaurant was damaged.

It is our information that at least two other establishments were robbed over the past few days on the Sister Island.

Poppy c**k!!! The economy is certainly not as robust as it was in the 1980’s and some people are not doing very well, but we need to stop looking at others and blaming them. Read and you will see that the whole world is in turmoil. It is not the fault of the legislators. Use your brain ( if you have one)!!

It is hilarious to know that in the midst of a burglary people can find time to include politicians into this incident. What will be more appropriate is for the residents to encourage the perpetrators of this crime to try to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner and ensure we are safe from crime. Blaming the legislators for a crime is ridiculous and should be condemn in the strongest possible term in order for prevent future occurrence.

You mean the fake Gucci knock offs? Honestly, people here can’t afford the real Gucci stuff. I know someone who is out here flossing a Gucci belt talking about she paid $150.00, a real Gucci belt will cost $300.00 on sale. A real Gucci wallet will cost $400.00.

Over and over we say do not leave money in the place no matter how much. Where are your cameras? Whoever has to open the early morning shift should be given the money, now the thieves got it for free. Even when they break in, there will be no reward for them.....SHEESH!
