Packed Father’s Day Weekend
With the announcement of Banton’s release from prison making international news and rocking the Caribbean, on Saturday, June 15, 2019, the Jamaican artiste along with friends will grace the VI for what will be a Father’s Day Weekend to remember according to organizers of the event.
In a press release on March 1, 2019, organizers say, “The BVI event is more than just a concert as it will include an entire weekend of activities that both locals and visitors to the territory can enjoy, such as a Welcome Party, a Father’s Day Beach Party as well as a concert featuring the legendary Buju Banton.”
They are inviting patrons from as far as North and South America as well as surrounding islands to Tortola and are working with local hotels, customs and immigrations agents, ferry operators as well as several airlines to ensure visitors have the most enjoyable time while on the island.

Artiste Buju Banton is a statement said, “The preparation for the ‘Long Walk to Freedom Tour’ commenced with Til Shiloh band rehearsing as early as October 2018 and continued with myself and the band rehearsing now 4 days a week. I have been solidifying my set, my sound and delivery for my return and looking forward to the welcoming you are all prepared to give me on this new chapter”.

This man may be a real good singer, but he was convicted of smuggling cocaine, not self defense or even standing up for some principled point, or politics. The man is a criminal and that is what you all are promoting.
