Brake failure blamed for lone-vehicle accident on Fort Hill

FORT HILL, Tortola, VI- A driver of a car was lucky to escape without serious injuries after an alleged brake failure caused the vehicle to run off the road at Fort Hill, Tortola.

According to reports, the accident took place sometime after 2:00 am this morning, January 4, 2022.

The car was prevented from falling down the hillside by thick vegetation.

The driver was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

No other person was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

    I saw this this morning and my heart skipped a beat. Thank God the vehicle was prevented from going down further. Speed recovery to the individual.

    The driver is ok, it could have been brake failure, I live up in the hill and I always have my brakes checked.
