LONDON, UK – Former embattled British Prime Minister, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson has announced he is standing down as an MP with immediate effect after receiving the report into whether he lied to MPs over party gate.

‘Partygate’ refers to is a political scandal in the UK  over parties and other gatherings of the Johnson government during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, at a time when public health restrictions prohibited gatherings.

UK’s Sky News is reporting that in an excoriating statement, the former Prime Minister said a letter from the privileges committee made clear "that they are determined to use the proceedings against me to drive me out of parliament".

As a result, Mr Johnson said: "I have written to my association in Uxbridge and South Ruislip to say that I am stepping down forthwith and triggering an immediate by-election.

"I am very sorry to leave my wonderful constituency. It has been a huge honor to serve them, both as Mayor and MP."

The former Prime Minister had angrily accused the investigation of trying to drive him out, and claimed there was a “witch-hunt underway, to take revenge for Brexit and ultimately to reverse the 2016 referendum result”.

In a bitter 1,000-word statement, he attacked Rishi Sunak’s government, blaming the current prime minister for rising taxes, not being Conservative enough, and failing to make the most of Brexit.

Johnson leaving parliament

Johnson hinted that he may try to make a return to politics, saying he was “very sad to be leaving parliament – at least for now”.

Johnson’s departure from political life comes less than four years after he won an 80-seat political majority and nine months after he stood down as prime minister after a police fine for breaking his own Covid rules.

Moving forward, the resignation will trigger an immediate byelection in Johnson’s Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.

While as Prime Minister of the UK, Johnson’s Government had called CoI into the affairs of the [British] Virgin Islands while he refused to have one on his government, saying the time was not a good one due to COVID.

Okay you UK blogger. It matters a whole lot as it shows the sins of those who are trying to enslave us for which they are desperately trying to hide. VINO should print the folly which takes place weekly in the corrupt UK government so fools like you can see they are worse than the Caribbean Overseas Territories who they are trying to paint black with their high handed wicked actions aimed to cover up their sins.

This man and the former governor are good friends and he helped him to approve the bias non-transparent COI on the BVI in the middle of covid while we all were trying to stay alive. It was wicked how and when it was done and he and all who had a hand in it will meet their doom one by one. God do not sleep.

Why wasn't there a COI on this man and the UK on how they mishandled covid and covid funds? They gave out no bid contracts for millions of pounds to friends and family for supplies of PPE and other things and they never did business in that area before. They opened new companies just to get the contracts. However, they rushed a COI on the people of the BVI to cover up their corruption. What a unjust set of people in leadership in the UK and some of their senior public officers who support them.

These are poor examples of leadership but yet some of our people in the BVI thinks we will be better off under their corrupt leadership. We need to go independent and leave this bad minded and evil-minded people alone.

@@@ Oh Boi, here you go again with the annoying ALL CAPS, and rambling disconnected message with no flow, looking for attention. It seems you revel in finding commentaries that don’t quench your thirst, or quell your hunger to criticize. Have you ever had a reasoned and sensible blog which you started on your own? It does seem so. With all the time you wasted trying to get other bloggers to blog on something of interesting to you, you could have done the research and wrote a commentary to educate us. Get a hobby, for you seemed to have much time on your hand. Or this is your hobby? Stop the trolling and being an annoying nuisance.

Boris who? Good riddance. His behavior is continued evidence of the double standard of the MO of the Empire, Colonialism and UK society, ie, do what I say, not what I do. Further, this demonstrates several standards, ie, one for the monarch which is in a league of its own, another for the aristocrats, and yet another serfs, poor and working class. The do as I say, not as I do extends out to the colonies and the colonized.

Anointed by Empire and Colonialism with unilateral power, the Colonialists in the UK and at Mount Olympus on behalf of the crown adopts the same do as I, not as I do attitude, behavior, and expectations, for they are specially entitled, priviledged, and superior to the colonized , especially people of African descent. Mount Olympus is embolden by the Sambos who want social acceptance of a higher level and some measured of meritorious manumission, etc. They exhibit the shameless behaviour for their personal interest at the expense of what I say best for the territory and fellow countrymen, thinking that Colonialists are into them. They put on fake smiles, most anyway, in their presence and become the butt of jokes in private.

Sambo, you are a frig....exposing the dastardly behaviour of the Colonialists who used Might is Right to gain power, unequal power, to grab land and exploit people and their labour for personal gain. They claim they were on a civilizing mission but it is as clear as mud that, that was/is a BIG lie. It was supposedly the White Man’s burden to civilize the brutes. Oh, how convenient and patronizing. Rudyard Kipling’s condescending 1899 poem ‘ The White Man’s Burden’ makes the point and intent. Resources exploited and depleted, the patronizing and civilizing mission in the 21st Century continues, still believing it is the White Man’s burden, is it? I’m a Frig...just reporting the indisputable verifiable facts that may make some uncomfortable. Moreover, there is an attempt to revise, sanitize, and bury history, for history supposedly makes the perpetrators uncomfortable. Really, really, really!!! Pretending will not change or make history evaporate. If anyone should be uncomfortable, it should be the descendants of the colonized and enslaved. But, alas they had to be strong to survive and still has to. What ah ting to tell the King.
