CUMANA, St. David, Trinidad- Bodies with burn marks have washed ashore on beaches in Trinidad recently.

Two corpses, one with burn marks on the face and both bodies missing limbs, have been discovered since September 2025. These discoveries deepened concern that the bodies may be victims of airstrikes by the United States on vessels taken down, accused of drug trafficking.

According to a VI Consortium article, dated October 24, 2025, villagers near the sites where the bodies were discovered believe they were among those killed in one of the first U.S. maritime strikes launched in early September.

Despite mounting unease, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has issued no public comment, even as her government remains supportive of Washington’s widening military campaign in the region.

The discoveries coincide with escalating U.S. operations targeting alleged “narco-terrorists”, the article added.

The Trinidad Guardian reported on September 6, 2025, the discovery of the first body by Jason Clement of Maturita, who was camping at O’Halloran Camp in Cumana.

The latest airstrike was this week

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed another airstrike this week against a seafaring vessel. This marked the tenth airstrike since the campaign began.

The Pentagon says the strikes form part of the administration’s counter-narcotics initiative, which President Donald Trump has vowed to continue without Congressional approval.

The VI Consortium also reports that the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group—the largest in U.S. service—was formally reassigned Friday to U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to expand American military presence in the Southern Caribbean.

The move, according to Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell, would “bolster U.S. capacity to detect, monitor, and disrupt illicit actors and activities that compromise the safety and prosperity of the United States homeland and our security in the Western Hemisphere.”

Despite mounting unease, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has issued no public comment, even as her government remains supportive of Washington’s widening military campaign in the region.

And the funny thing no drugs wash up ashore, they just killing innocent fisherman to provoke Venezuela to fight, and it's a psychological warfare that America is using to determine that they can enter Venezuela and take over once the government is powerless to save it's fisherman who are out trying to fish for a living.
