HANNAY BAY, Tortola, VI- A large vessel has been engulfed by fire in Hannah Bay, in the vicinity of Therapy Works and adjacent to Nanny Cay Marina.

It is unclear if anyone has been injured in the fire that reportedly started after 2:00 PM today, January 8, 2026.

The cause of the fire is unclear to our News Centre at this time; however, Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services has been called in.

The fire has already caused major damage to the vessel.

    Government need to make it mandatory that all marinas and boat yards have up to date fire fight equipment in place ready to go can't rely on government do what you have to do
