Bishop John I Cline named interim President of the NDP

Senior sources within the party have confirmed that at a recent meeting, Bishop John I. Cline was named the Interim-President of the party, while Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) continues to be the Chairman.
There are plans for a convention in which all positions will be up for a vote, including that of Chairman, according to the same sources.
'Wait for us'- Bishop
When our news centre contacted Bishop Cline, he declined to comment but said “the NDP will issue an official statement about any interim appointments” and he asked our News Centre to “wait for that announcement.”
The NDP has been struggling to attract quality candidates for the 2027 general elections, as it faced another breakaway group, the Alliance, led by the controversial Hon Myron V. Walwyn (R6), now Leader of the Opposition. The same sources noted that there is no hope of reconciliation with Hon Walywn, as it seems he has one thing in mind: “he must be the leader”, and he brings too much confusion to the table.
Hon Walwyn sued
A few days ago, Hon Walwyn- the head of the Alliance party- was in the news after his longtime pal, whom he hired even before he was in government, Sackhkia Barnes, sued him over unpaid NDP bills going back to the 2019 general elections when he was Chairman of the party.
Ms Barnes is claiming she is owed close to thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) for work done on the 2019 political campaign in which Hon Walwyn, as Chairman, lost his Territorial At Large seat.
