BET’s 106 & Park out of the ordinary - Wintz
While Wintz did not perform during the taping of the pre-recorded show, she appeared as a member of the studio audience which allowed her an opportunity to have a ‘hands on’ grasp of the atmosphere surrounding the recording industry.
No guarantees have been given to the talented songstress of being handed a recording contract for the duration of her trip to the United States, but Wintz has numerous opportunities lined up ahead of her to interact with executives in the music industry.
The trip, facilitated by BET’s Kelly Griffin, continues this evening with a performance in the BET Music Matters Showcase which gives performers a chance to gain significant experience as well as be seen and recognised by various executives in the industry. The Music Matters Showcase is not broadcast but will be done from 8:30PM this evening.
The recording studio will be the next stop for Wintz tomorrow, May 14, 2014 as she gets an opportunity to perform on several original tracks under the guidance of legendary A&R Executive, Wayne Williams.
The whole experience is being viewed as an opening and opportunity to make a mark with label executives and ultimately land a record deal with one of the recording executives.
She expressed sincere gratitude to Kyia Stoutt and her mother as well as all those who have offered support along her journey so far.
