BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- In his string of criticisms against the sitting government, the man who has said he is ready to be the next Premier of the Virgin Islands, Opposition Leader Honourable Marlon A. Penn (R8), has warned of “smoke and mirrors” come elections season.

Speaking on NDP Radio on ZBVI 780 AM on October 4, 2021, Hon Penn said they can expect to see contracts being rolled out before elections and that “the people have to be more politically astute and not allow themselves to be ‘mamaguiled’.”

‘Things will change’- Hon Penn

Hon Penn also alleged that the government has been squandering “millions of dollars on all kinds of things that are insignificant” but said this will change in the elections season.

“The time will come when you will see work going left, right and centre. Persons going to get contracts left, right and centre.”

The Opposition Leader, who has been criticised for being fully loaded with criticisms but glaringly short on solutions, said the relaunch of the East End Sewerage Project was just for a photo op.

“They finished up a small lil project that was already started before Irma down Paraquita Bay,” said Hon Penn, who was part of the National Democratic Party (NDP) government that illegally transferred $8M of monies earmarked for the East End Sewerage Project towards the Tortola Pier Park Project in 2015, leaving his own constituents to walk streets of filth.

‘The market is a disgrace’

Slinging more criticisms, Hon Penn said the groundbreaking ceremony for the Road Town Market Square in October 2020 was also a political ploy.

“You see a bunch of wild tamarind in the farmers' market in Road Town and a set of placards around the territory for projects they have started, years ago for many of them, and all you seeing are billboards around the territory. They have become a billboard government to try to fool you.

“The market is a disgrace. I got a picture from someone who showed me what the market place look like right now. The amount of wild tamarind inside there now, best they loose the sheep and goats in there to feed on them. I mean it is ridiculous,” Hon Penn said.

He noted that he will continue to hold the Executive accountable to the people of the territory.

To be truthful, Hon. Marlon Penn, the best place to start when flinging criticism at others that you don't agree with is to first start by openly criticising yourself for a job not well done by you as the Rep. of the 8th district.
In other words, offer a better way forward, give us solutions. We are desperately in need of man

They gave out contracts with no money to pay, then leaves the new government burden down with trying to find money for contracts the losing administration gave out, because they will lose come next election, or whenever Britain decides to call election, it wont be VIP...

Who is sailing your ship is it God or man. The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous. Next election it will be God at the helm again no witch can't overpower the man from Galilee. No col can't stop the Galilee man so if you know what I know sit at the feet of the Galilee man and wait for instructions for this next election coming will not be a walk over.

When the man from Galilee gives us the instructions let's not be like Jonah.

Who is sailing your ship to safety?

Marlon spoke about the disgraceful state of the market area and not one comment so far has been in support or in opposition to the topic. A set of wicked and stupid blabbering about election, the eighth district, sewerage, who did what and what UK is going to do. This mentality is a very clear indication of why we are in the mess that we are in. The locals in this country are one of the worst set of evil minded people on the planet. It is this same bad mind that drove the farmers out of the market. As soon as a certain person who they wanted to crucify went there that is when they decided to uproot everyone. There is a lot more that I can say but I will leave it here for now except to inform you that you guys are mentally retarded and you're fighting with your worst nightmare. Sit down and seriously think about the whole situation and realize if you can that you need to change your foolish plan and live up like a man.

Did you notice, and read what you have written? If you did, you will come to realised that it is not worthy to be read.
You are in need of urgent help, so that you will be able to stop exposing your ignorance, and arrogance to others.

Give me one good reason why I should vote for this guy Penn in the next election. He criticized everything and does not bring any solution.

Keep on assuming what pleases you. It's a foolish dog barks at a flying bird. Others know exactly who you are. So easy to call out.
