‘Be on lookout for circulating US counterfeit notes’- RVIPF

- said it has received recent reports of counterfeit notes in denominations of $20, $50 & $100 being circulated

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is urging businesses and banks to be on the lookout for circulating US counterfeit notes in denominations of $20, $50 and $100.

This was disclosed in a bulletin by the RVIPF today, August 12, 2022.

“Police have received recent reports and are asking businesses, banks and the general public to do the necessary screening before accepting these denominations,” the bulletin stated.

The RVIPF said persons in receipt of any counterfeit currency are asked to contact any police station or RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

    They will not go into businesses with cameras. So if you know your business doesn't have cameras be very careful put things in place. Also to regular citizens when people come with all kind of reasons why they want you to change a 50 of 100 for them. Don't..Nonsense..Let them go and look work. Jail them when u ketch them..

      I never change bills for people. I let them know I need my small bills for change for my customers. I never accept $100 dollar bills and I check the $50 bills with my pen. I now have to check the $20 also. People always have a scam.

    but the ATM spitting mostly b$100 / $50 ,and
    $20 , first it used to be $20 which was not counterfeited , these parasites are getting more creative ????
