Baughers Bay without power due to burnt pole

BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- Residents of Baughers Bay on Tortola are currently without electricity.

According to the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC), the reason is a burnt utility pole.

“The entire Baughers Bay area is out of electricity due to a burnt pole. The repair will take approximately one and a half hours,” BVIEC stated just after 1:00 PM.

It is unclear exactly when the pole caught on fire.
