Bat Cave plus Pumpa equals success
Pumpa came on the stage after 1 a.m. It was as if patrons stayed home until they heard his voice pumping through the speakers, because that is exactly how it appeared.
Before his arrival at Bat Cave, it was empty. Who were already there and paid, left, because they didn't want to be the first or only ones there.
Testing, Testing, that's all he said through his microphone, then there they came walking in, in couples, groups and some alone. The venue was catastrophically full and overflowing.
Ms. Keisha Pickering, owner of Bat Cave said the soca artist truly did get her million dollars performance.
It was like a school assembly, every song Pumpa sang, the crowd repeated, missing no lines, no mistakes. Almost everyone on the floor had a partner and even if they weren't with one, it stopped nothing.
Hands in the air, voices screaming and shouting lyrics until they were hoarsed, it was an indoor concert.
Speaking to the artist after his performance, he stated that the size of the crowd exceeded his expectations.
He expressed that the crowd responded and supported him and his performance "a full 100 %".
Dennis told this news site that although he performs his hit song 'massage' all over the place, he gave a fan a massage on the spot for the first time.
“For the first time a woman got massaged in front of me an she is ok with it, I like pure ‘wotlessness’ and I experienced it tonight.”
He concluded his performance with a 'shake ya booty' competition starting out with four girls, one eliminated every round, and undecided in the final round made it a tie.
His fans didn't want to leave. Every time he said 'we gotta go' the band always started again, so even on his final 'we gotta go' they waited and hoped that he would begin singing again.
Speaking to Ms. Pickering, she said she is not disappointed at all of Pumpa’s performance .She said she is happy that everybody was controlled and they had a great time.
DJ Heavy D and DJ Commodore played before handing it over to Pumpa.
Meanwhile, Pumpa will be performing in Virgin Gorda later today May 19, 2012.
