Bass & Edwin lead unbeaten Legs in St Lucia!

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Domestic senior 2012 Champions, Legs, took their skills to St Lucia over the weekend where they played unbeaten in a tournament hosted by the St Lucia Basketball Federation. Legs came home with three wins out of three.

The hosts have just started the 2013 season and as part of the opening ceremonies the Legs were invited to take part through the connections of their coach, Ronald Simmons.

Game one was played at the Vigie Complex against the Dynasty Basketball Club and saw the Legs come out with a comfortable 71-55 win.

David Lettsome scored 24 points with 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 assists to lead the Legs' victory charge. Kennedy Bass added 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists, whilst both Trevon Lewis and Gary Hillhouse notched 8 points each. Hillhouse added 6 rebounds and the pair of Trevor Stevens and Al Percival picked up 7.

The second game played at the Beausejour saw another win for Legs as they overcame Morne Gladiators 79- 64.

Jason Edwin led the points scoring with 18 and picked up 17 rebounds including 13 in defense. Hillhouse notched 12 points with 8 rebounds and Lettsome and Lewis both finished with 10 points each. Bass had 8 points and 7 rebounds as well as 2 steals and 2 assists.

The third and final game was a match up against the VBCC Warlords and was also played at the Beausejour. This resulted in a blow out 88-52 victory for the Legs.

Both Lettsome and Edwin finished with 20 points, Bass scored 16 and Hillhouse 12 in the rout. Lettsome added 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists and 1 block to his night's work. Bass and Edwin shared 10 rebounds between them with Bass picking up 6 steals and 5 assists.
