    You ain’t lying man, some of those men and women was reeking. There was some stank body odor. At least they could have clean their front and back with baby wipes and rub some lime under their arms. My goodness when some of those women bend forward shaking their behinds they were stink some smell like they were on their period.

    I saw Cindy said on Fbook worse Parade she ever saw. She not lying, She little hot headed...One Great thing about Cindy, She never try to be politically correct, or go along to get along, she is a straight shooter, she says it as see she sees it, I respect her for that, she is correct on this one ..Stuart needs to come off the committee, he is spiteful and get too personal..

    These band have to atart playint music..Songs..What were they plqying? They are getting paid and someone needs to ensure they put the work in...Ryhthm machine most the way....Time to Rise the standard..

    I completely agree with you. The older generation knows how to have a good time and brings an unmatched energy to the parade. Meanwhile, many of the younger generation seem more focused on appearances. Always holding a fan and carrying themselves as if they're competing for a crown.
    
    Imagine these young ladies standing in front of a panel of judges, striking poses and taking selfies from every possible angle instead of simply enjoying the moment.

    1st They move Jouvert to improve the parade...The Jouvert get better the parade got wosre..2nd Culture, was happy to see a Steel pan in the parade, no brass band,, Steel pan, string band and brass band is culture..3rd/ The Gaps were very too much...The last 3 troupes and band were organized but they were like 30 minutes behind basically by themselves, like a diffeent parade...4/ as for starting on time it finished after 7pm..5/ Next time fill the gaps try get every local band in the parade avoid the big gaps...Organized early trucks and generators...Its a once in a yr event, do all you can to make it great...Memorable...This one wasn't

    Mr. Brian Penn did it the best...He just didn't biok local bands because of like and connectiona, He rented a system set it up by the market and . All local bands interested in taking part in the festival had play for 45 minutes free, then according to their performance they get booked and paid appropriately...I use to like that...Also when I go to the village I see one or two players in two or three bands, only in Tortola this happen...If you have to pick or hire players just to perform in the village to get pay, that is not a band.."A band is a group of players united together for a cause"

  How about next year… we have no parade… nothing and let’s just stay home like how we was after Irma and Covid….. the people of the bvi are ungrateful and need serious prays… this is getting overbearing now… just shut and stay home if you don’t want to enjoy the festivities!!!

  The title of this article is laughable! I have seen RT come alive for Festival and this was not it. We ALL know what a good Festival is, because we have enjoyed a few in our time. The changes that need to be made to improve the festival and really bring money to our country, the people in charge do not want to make. In fact some of them are a part of some of these said troupes! The first thing we need to address is the nudity. From a cultural standpoint we just have to. The demographics of the island may have changed but the CULTURE of the people should not, because it is our identity. Nobody is saying to wear pantaloons, but certainly our BVI designers and troupe leaders can come up with something that is youthful, fun, modern and still honors tradition. Some of those costumes give views that people should only see if they are being intimate with each other. Festival is a FAMILY event, and I think we have lost sight of that. Children and young people should be able to come out between us adults and enjoy the festivities. As an adult we need to be more mindful of what and how we present ourselves. I stand on the roadside and I watch the majority of bodies coming down the road in the troupes, and its easy to see why cancer continues to eat us out. We are ghastly unfit and making no effort to whip ourselves into shape. The unnecessary rolls of flesh stuffed and pushed into spandex, sheer and mesh that bulge out as soon as there is movement is what greets spectators. And we convince ourselves its hot gyal summer, but its a delusion. May our ancestors that were hung, burnt, shot, cut into pieces, drowned, boiled, eaten up by dogs, starved, raped, beaten, suffocated, ripped apart limb by limb, and trampled to death haunt us until we do right by them. They payed dearly with the blood in their veins. Our women seem to have lost modesty and respect for ourselves. They shake their naked a$$es in the streets in front of their sons and daughters. The men have lost the vision the steer the great ship called 'family'. They busy grinding down on some naked behind in the middle of the road, while cheating on their women and making children outside the family, or leaving their boy children to rain terror on the community with guns.
