BRADES, Montserrat- United Kingdom national Pamela Trevillion, who was appointed Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in October 2022, has been appointed Acting Commissioner of the Royal Montserrat Police Force (RMPF).

Ms Trevillion is said to be on secondment to the RMPS from the RVIPF, to offer support to Montserrat and as part of her "own development".

According to a press release from the Government of Montserrat, Her Excellency The Governor, Mrs Sarah Tucker, swore in Acting Commissioner Trevillion on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Ms Trevillion will reportedly hold the Leadership on behalf of Police Commissioner Robin Hall whilst he attends meetings in the UK.

Governor Tucker thanks VI for its support!

Governor Tucker said, “This support from our OT family in the BVI, is a positive demonstration of the collective commitment to build capacity and capability across the region and share our expertise where we can.

“We have previously had support from Cayman and Bermuda in Policing and St Helena in Health, and I hope that over the coming year we will see a continued increase in exchanges and support across the Overseas Territories, both for Montserrat and by Montserrat.”

Trevillion’s controversial appointment in RVIPF

Critics had viewed it as a backward step in the RVIPF when Trevillion was sworn in as the new Assistant Commissioner of Police on November 23, 2022.

Critics of the appointment have stated there was no need to import an Assistant Commissioner of Police from the UK when there are many local Senior Inspectors who are qualified to carry out the post.

Many had also seen the hiring of Trevillion as a clever way for the Police Commissioner, Mr Mark Collins, to run the force, with his Assistant Commissioner, while bypassing the local Deputy Commissioners of Police St Clair Amory and Jacqueline E. Vanterpool.

Ms Trevillion reported directly to the Commissioner of Police, also a UK national.

It's all about coming here in the region for opportunities for them. If only the school system did not fail us and the truth regarding history was taught our people would understand what's going on and even this nonsense about reparation would be in our thoughts.

The wheels of the monster colonialism cabal mill is turning; it turns slowly but tactically and strategically. There was no one in the Montserrat Police force who could serve as Acting CoP? The plan here is clear Deputy Trevillion is being groomed, punching her ticket for CoP in one of the OTs. Clearly who is earns her advantage. Virgin Islanders continue to interestingly and disadvantagly divide and scatter, making them as a group weaker and more vulnerable, while others coalesce as group(s) and leap frog over them, leaving wondering what the @#$%^& happened. Here is a news flash. Disunity, appeasement, etc., is what is happening. Virgin Islanders are afficted tge Stockhom Syndrome, behaving appeasers like Neville Chamberlain, and betrayal as Benedict Arnold. Continue behaving the way you are. Harry say would hear.

The Colonialists are executing their power and influence in broad daylight as the subjects skin and grin, steppin and fetchin, shuckin and givin. Colonialism is a monster, taking no prisoners. Let’s stop pretending. Colonialism is a monster and has always been a monster and Monsters don’t get bored; they don’t retire. Those who will not fight and defeat the monster suffer humiliation and destruction by the monster. Virgin Islanders have no heart, courage, too willing to appease, and have not a thing from Perin George, Chris Fleming, Noel Lloyd, Dolph Faulkner l, etc. Their fight and sacrifice ls, etc have been for nought. They must be tossing disgustingly and violently in their resting places. The outlook is not looking so bright for Virgin Islanders. Another blogger(s) frequently used this quote by German Philosopher George Hegel:” he/she who values life over liberty is the -Slave—and he/she who values liberty over life is the —Master.” Hegel also quotes that slaves contributes to their own enslavement by not resisting. You be the judge on this.

To Rattler, a newcomer to the platform but you are rock solid and coming strong. I fully embrace your quote about monsters: “ Colonialism is a monster, taking no prisoners. Let’s stop pretending. Colonialism is a monster and has always been a monster and Monsters don’t get bored; they don’t retire. Those who will not fight and defeat the monster suffer humiliation and destruction by the monster”. Real talk. Virgin Islanders have appeased the monster/the snake ( snakes do what snakes; they turn on you), not recognizing and fearing the monster/snake and are suffering the consequences and humiliation, easing right back into slavery. Most leaders/managers like to bring along good people they have worked with , because of their performance, knowledge, and skilled set. Nevertheless, Asssistant CoP placement in the RVIPF was not about this; it was about race. Clearly, CoP Mark Collins and his boss, both part of the cabal, have a problem working close up with Blacks saved for when they are serving the disposable purpose of “ bring cum carry.” As such Trevillion was brought in as shield from not having to work directly with senior Black officers. Another purpose is she is white and provide an emotional comfort level for the CoP. As a reward for her service because she is white she was handpicked to act as Acting CoP in Montserrat. Are Montserratian police officers so “Less” that they cannot act as CoP??? Or they are not so “Less” but the cabal don’t give a rat’s @$$? The slavery/colonial mill turns slowly but it turns nonetheless and the subjects are so happy with scraps from the table and could not give a s…t about freedom, inequality, injustice, liberties, democracy, self-determination, etc. As others have noted Harry say you will hear!!!Virgin Islanders a disappointment, focusing on the wrong things while they lose their territories. Stay dey ah yu until too late will be the cry.

If you are white, you right, privilege and entitled. If you are brown sticking around. And if you are Black get back, way, way back. This divide and rule serum is platinum and long lasting. At least, the sambos give it life. Let’s stop the pretending crap, assistance CoP Trevilliom was the chosen one not because she is a woman or best qualified, but wait for it, wait for it, because she is white. In the colonialists view is a privilege, entitled currency regardless of education, skill, knowledge and experienced.

Only if the Uk had truly care about the Caribbean people like they like to say then one of us would have been assigned to this post. One of us would have already been appointed to be a Governor. They have no interest in us but boy oh boy they know how to fool some of us to believe otherwise. The slavery mill is grinding slow but grinding still.

To Only if, the colonialists and colonialism never give a rat’s @$$ about Caribbean people, black people. For example, no good, fertile acreage was reserved, earmarked for growing food to feed the slaves. The land was dedicated to growing sugar cane, cotton, indigo, banana, tobacco , etc , for export. All commodities were exported to the UK for processing into consumer goods and the poor quality goods were shipped back to the colonies. As Dr. Eric Williams noted in his Classic Capitalism and Slavery, “ not a nail could be produced in the islands.” The “Sugar Islands” were once the most profitable in the vast British Empire yet not a nail could be manufactured in the colonies to put residents in the colonies to work. All commodities had to be sent to the UK to put Britons to work.,This process made “ commercial capitalism king for a while. Then industrial capital killed commercial capitalism, killing slavery and cheap descendants labor. It was not any compassion for the dehumanizing, exploitive, abuse, sexual abuse , rape, evil , etc of slaves and their descendants. Instead, slavery died basically because it was no longer profitable. The Civil War in the US was fought over slavery because it highly and dizzying profitable. The US is still fixated on the free, cheap labor. If businesses cannot fund cheap labor at home they head offshore to find it, taking advantage of poor people. Earlier I noted that no land was reserve to grow food to feed the slaves. Well, to feed the slaves they imported cheap salted fish from North America. Slaves were fed a salty and sugary diets and the regional is suffering from chronic diseases, ie, diabetes(sugar) , high blood pressure( pressure), obesity, along with other pathologies as a result of the poor diet. The only infrastructure constructed was to move good to the ports for shipping to the UK. Furthermore, the colonialists didn’t give a rat’s @$$ about even providing slaves and descendants with basic reading, writing and figuring. Shout to the Anglican and Methodist churches for starting educating blacks on reading, writing and figuring. The colonialists sent their chiren back to the UK to get educated . Education was to good for black people for they were inferior and subhuman.

Why do you think she got the job in the BVI, and now in Montserrat? The reason is local Deputy Commissioners of Police St Clair Amory and Jacqueline E. Vanterpool are already over promoted, both have proved to be clueless and ineffective.

You all need to stop tell lie on Jackie Vsnterpool. You all know she is more effective than Amory long time. But because some of you all police don’t like her. She is a straight forward person and we love her from VG. I heard her speak years at a workshop and she is serious about her job despite all the challenges she went through. She like people and people like her because she is down to earth. I was a juror years ago on a case and I heard how Terrence Williams commend her in front of the judge the way she handled herself on the stand. We the jurors were quite impressed. She is a truthful officer. She fear no man, but God. And we know her work will speak for her.

The biggest mistake the premier did was putting the police force under the governor portfolio. Big mistake!

Of course it’s the commissioner will hail from the UK, and sad to say, there is nothing the people of Tortola can do about it. The premier and government minister need to wake up and come together.

When will Black Caribbean people start fighting? Stop sitting around doing nothing, while the white people come into your country and take over. Africa is now standing up against England, America, and Europe. Wake up Tortola! Start coming together as one united for your country. Wake up! It amazes me that your premier is so silent and not fighting his country and people. Sad indeed!

There is an African quotation and I remembered it clearly that *only a foolish jailer who would give the jailer the key". I am fully aware that there are many senior police officers who are qualified and capable to perform the duties of Commissioner of police here in the RVIP, however the greatest problem that we have here is the lack of cooperation and support for each other among the ranks. If the Commissioner of police should decide to appoint one of the senior ranks other than the UK office to be sent on secondment to Montserrat, other than the UK officer, all hell would have broken loose. By sending the UK office there would not any dissention in the force because the UK female is neutral.

It is about time that we give our full support for our fellow black brothers and sisters in their pursuit to higher levels of accomplishments. Willy Lynch, the white slave master from Virgina had given a prescription to the slave masers in the Caribbean, how they should control the slaves and get them to be submissive to their owners. By dividing and rule they were able to prevent uprising on the plantations.

With all due respect our force don’t need another UK Commissioner. They don’t respect us as a black people nor our culture. They don’t listen to us who knows the grassroots. Bring us a Caribbean commissioner. Not another UK one.

The people of Tortola need to come together and unite, instead of being divided.

The Premier need to stop being silent, scared a yes man and fight for his country. Then the people will support him in the fight, march, protest and let their voices be heard. Only then will change come.

Even though england have black citizens, the BVI is imposed with white superior logics, Al all overseas territories a white UK citizen shall head any institution in the BVI as superiors to the black natives, be it governor or commissioner, learn that, white entitlement , the political party that UK citizens voted for rewarded them with Caribbean vacation and great salary.

What is going in the Royal Montserrat Police Force? Is something rotten in the state of Denmark/Montserrat? Robin Hall was sworn as CoP in December 2023 and prior to Hall’s appointment Deputy CoP Charles Thompson was sworn as the Acting CoP. Did Robin Hall resign? The school chiren are saying there was investigation into misconduct in the force. That is all hearsay. Funny thing is that the current CoP M. Collins thrashed the VI in a video and allegedly pardoned by Governor Rankin. He also allegedly accused of destroying evidence . Further, allegedly the governor is in receipt of a 56- incident complaint against the CoP. Nevertheless, he is flying flag high. This whole thing is interesting. The colonialism mill turns and turns.
