Arien M. K. Fahie remanded to prison for murder of Corey Butler

Arien Milton Kwarme Fahie, who has been charged with the murder of Corey Butler, made his first appearance before the Magistrate’s Court today, July 26, 2022, days after he was deported from the US Virgin Islands (USVI) after being captured in the area of the Clinton E. ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Arien Milton Kwarme Fahie, who has been charged with the murder of Corey Butler, made his first appearance before the Magistrate’s Court today, July 26, 2022, days after he was deported from the US Virgin Islands (USVI) after being captured in the area of the Clinton E. Phipps Racetrack in Estate Bovoni, St Thomas on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Fahie is jointly charged with Akeem Durrant, 35, of Bellevue for the murder of Butler, who was fatally shot on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in the Scatliffe Alley area.

Additionally, Fahie and Durrant are charged with Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Drug and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

Both Fahie and Durrant appeared virtually before Senior magistrate Tamia N. Richards.

They are to return to court for report on September 20, 2022.

    I was tempted to say something about the mugshot, but I'll just stick to the topic. I am very happy to see a criminal CAUGHT because we have TOO MANY unsolved murders here. I pray and hope that the killers of the other cases will eventually get what's coming to them. Evil is a veryyyyy ugly thing.

    I tell you this in LOVE. Drugs is the bait that the Devil uses to take you captive to do his will. The Devil comes to kill steal and destroy. Set yourself up in the eyes of your peers don't have the guts to stand down or break free. Pop it off without thinking about what comes next. At the end of the day you are on your own " yea mi boi " can't help you in the hospital, prison or cemetery. The system is designed to chew you up and spit you out dead or alive. Say no to drugs.

    Senseless. Sounds as if they had a good life to be able to rent a car. Its not even about drugs its the idea that guns & robbery is a way to make money on a small island no way, no where to hide after the crime. No where to sell that gold. Look how he fled after he threw his good life away. Sorry Mr. Butler lost his life to get these ignorant trouble makers off the streets. Set themselves up in the end.

What steps and measures are in place to ensure that Bali is no longer that hotel on the hill where you can eat steak n lobster every day while wearing designer fashions and high priced jewelry?!!! When’s that going to change and prison issues uniforms become the norm?
