The announcement by Aquatic Rentals Ferry Service was made on social media today, August 11, 2026.

"After many years of providing transportation services between the British Virgin Islands and the United States Virgin Islands, Aquatic Rentals Ferry Service have made the decision to suspend all ferry operations indefinitely, effective August 31st, 2026."

The ferry company did not state the reason for discontinuing its service to the Virgin Islands.
