Sorry, we need new blood. Since she is so close to retirement age, let her gracefully groom a young person as this is what b@!! he@d should have done many years ago. Right now we should have been getting ready soon to celebrate Mrs. B's retirement. Instead we here scrambling to put another AS in the position.

Thank you for the 40 years of services. You’ve worked with both parties over your experience and have seen the raise and falls of Social Security. They should have you as a private Consultant /Advisory time to time for the young people have the strength but the elder have the experience. Either way we appreciate the service and may God continue to bless you.

Good decision Ms. Skelton. The book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3 in the Holy Bible reminds us that there is “a time for everything. U have given stellar contribution to this country and u have managed the social security office well. Do enjoy your retirement whenever it comes.

Ignore the hate that you may get here. You have served the country well. If people are honest, it will be difficult to find her replacement. You have represented the BVI well on the local, regional, and international level with class. We thank you for your contribution and hope that you enjoy your retirement.

Now, be honest with yourself. If it is so hard to find a replacement this speaks volumes. While she was there she had only herself in mind. Did she not consider grooming A NUMBER OF PERSONS who would now be a reasonable pool of qualified candidates to choose from to take over from her? IMO, the structure under her watch appears very poor.

        Exactly.

The poor structure can be seen in many other departments and statutory bodies as well. No grooming or succession planning at all.

My first work experience was with Mrs. Skelton. Under her administration I was forced to see my strengths and rise above mediocrity.

She taught me the value of proper work ethics, professionalism and integrity.

I learnt to be a leader not a follower. I learnt that life dont owe you anything, I learnt that the persons who enable you are not necessarily the ones who have your best interest at heart. And most importantly I learnt that my destiny was in my hands and that whatever I wanted from life was up to me to achieve.

I salute you Mrs Skelton for your years of contribution to the Territory. Your unwavering zeal for excellence and all other lives you have touched in the process.

I credit you to a large extent for all I have achieved and the person I am today. THANK YOU!

May the work you done speak for you.

    Jackie dearest

Tears came to eyes,to realise the level of appriciation that some of you have shown to Mrs.Skelton, and at the same time the tears increased to accept that there are so many people in society who hate people naturally.
What has Mrs.Skelton do to anyone personally, through out her wonderful career, for persons to want to hate her?
    Has Mrs.Skelton hurt anyone?No!

she didn't do anything except worked to protect the funds of the people to whom it belong to. she has always been a no nonsense, strict, but loving leader. She told you as it is. When people don't get their way they hate you. When they don't get to walk on you they hate you; it is as simple as that. Who God blesses no man curses. We all would answer to our maker. Mrs. Skelton thank you for your passion, drive and determination at all levels. This is one statutory body that is healthy and we hop that it stays so. You will be missed. Hugs, respect and adoration to you Mrs. Skelton

You all are too dam ungrateful. How many of you all bloggers are paying social and if so,is it up to date and for how long now you are paying Social.

Yes I can afford to ask those questions and plenty more because I have been paying my social for over 36 years and it is up to date to the last cent.
Do you all expect to get what you did not put in or what you are not required to get by law, regardless of where you are from.

Some of you bloggers might be those so called employers who are not paying Into the scheme the money you deducted from your employees pay cheque and should be in prison.

Miss Skelton please do one thing before you leave. I know that there are laws on the book but Recommend stricter penalties for those thieving employers and ways for the employees to be reimbursed.
There are so much pretenders in this place. That's why I don't want any body in the BVI to come and profess anything about Christianity to me. I say that because too many do not practice what they preach and encourage too much dam wrong and hide behind these blog's. Too much.

Too much haters in this place man. My God.

I will just like two of you bloggers to say one time that You were suppose to get benefits from social security by law or legally and it was STOPPED by Miss Skelton. Please, I am waiting.

Stop all those wicked dirty ways. Stop it.
