ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – As the years roll by one of the biggest dreams of local artistes is quickly becoming reality. That dream is to one day see locally produced music flooding the shores of these Virgin Islands, every radio station, television station, bar and club.

Though a considerably small Territory with not as advanced technology and market as the more developed world in the music industry local artistes have always contended that their home produced music has the lyrics and quality to satisfy the entertainment needs here.

Artistes are holding fast to this belief and are very constant and persistent at ensuring that they do their best at continuing to produce music that speaks to the direct taste of all class of people in the Virgin Islands. Today Glendon D. Lamothe aka NJAR has joined the group artistes to be compiling his music for release.

Very soon persons would be able to access NJAR, as he is most popularly called, would be releasing his first mixtape with a collection of his music which he says has something to speak to the tastes of every class of music lover. “How many songs would be on that tape, I want to hold that as my little secret, that is one thing that is going to surprise my people,” he told Virgin Islands News Online.

One of his main songs he said he dedicates to families who have lost loved ones most recently to tragic occurrences as he wished “R.I.P” which commonly means “Rest In Peace” but for NJAR it means, “Return If Possible”. “But everybody knows it isn’t,” he said.

According to the young artists 2014 has been a crazy year thus far in the BVI, “because our young men are dropping like flies. I lost my grandfather, grandmother and cousin in the space of 2 years and I literally thought I wouldn't make it through.”

Very emotionally, he told this news site that several nights he went to bed with a heavy heart and would question God, sometimes even wondering if he is real. “We are never ready to deal with losing somebody that we love but age is just a number and death has no favourites.”

To all the families that are dealing with losing a family member NJAR expressed heartfelt sympathies and ask encourages then to be strong. “God is never wrong and he sees everything before it happens so even in these rough [times] find the strength to trust in him because GOD KNOWS BEST.”

“God Knows Best” featuring Deylon is the first official single off of his mixtape entitled “THE TIME IS NOW.” This song will be available for purchase on iTunes and can also be streamed on Soundcloud and Youtube.

This song was recorded at Golden Flame Studios and mixed and mastered by Home Grown studio.

This young artist has been in the arena of music production for some three years now with his first every produced song being “Life” featuring Reena. He said that he has always been surrounded by music as his dad Glen L. Lamothe aka “the damager” is a musician.
